The service has already been shedding A-10 squadrons, graduated its final class of A-10 pilots at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and ended depot-level maintenance at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That wind-down was not subtle. It is not stealthy, it is slower, and it needs air superiority or at least a permissive environment to operate.
